Float Based Operation
This station controller is the traditional Off/Lead/Lag/High float operating system. Can be used in your existing float based wet well installation. The floats utilize very little current and their electrical life can be expected to increase significantly. You still have to deal with the occasional grease accumulation or broken leads due to extended cycling. Our controller will still function during a lead or lag float fail and can be ordered with the maximum pump down time option. Some prefer a dual off float (wired in series) to avoid dry pumping in case of the off float fail. This option allows the operator to select a maximum pump down time once the lead/lag/high float has triggered the pumps to come on. This option is standard on our other lift station controllers as listed below. The operator interface also indicates each float as it is made which facilitates the identity of failed floats.
Ultrasonic Based Operations
Based upon customer request due to high grease accumulation, we designed this controller with a 4-20 ma ultrasonic transducer output reflecting the wet well level. The operator can easily set the off/lead/lag/high level setpoints from the 4 button interface. We designed this controller to operate with a high level mechanical float should the ultrasonics fail or loose its signal. Once the high level float is made, both pumps come on sequentially for a set time (operator adjustable) therefore bypassing the ultrasonic control signal. The wet well can technically operate indefinitely in this mode but you loose your redundancy. Ultrasonics is sensitive (loss of signal) to floating debris and soap bubbles. The transducer should be placed above a clean area of your influent for maximum reliability. The advantage of this system is the operator has immediate indication your pumps are working (shows level is dropping) and the mechanical problems with floats are eliminated.
Submersible Transducer
This controller is identical to the above ultrasonic controller except a submersible transducer is used. Good for high debris or suds application. Your transducer vent tube must be kept clear to ensure proper functioning. A high level float backup is included with an operator set pump down time. This will pump down the wet well while awaiting alarm service.
Combination Based Operation
We can offer combinations of the above controllers based upon customer request and application. Please email us with your requests.
